The studio provides small group classes for the beginner and intermediate practitioners of yoga. Classes are taught by qualified Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga instructors who has in depth knowledge on the alignment of each pose to suit your body. Every "body" is different, and practicing with respect and non-violence is encouraged in the studio. Since yoga is about discovering yourself through movement and in silence, it is a healing practice and not a competitive sport. It is your very own journey. The yoga classes are designed to help you deepen your practice by: discovering the connection with your own body, finding alignment, centering your mind through breath work, achieving strength-flexibility-balance, better coping with stress and ultimately getting better sleep. In a yoga studio environment, students can get individual attention to reap the most benefits, using props and adjustments according to their needs. About Nana (owner and resident teacher)
Nana Wen fell in love with the practice of yoga since 2011 and has completed her International Yoga Alliance accredited 200hr Teacher Training in 2015 and 500hr advanced Teacher Training in 2017. Her interest is in Yoga Therapy and has attended numerous anatomy and kinesiology workshops to better understand movement and its application for physical health. As the motto Explore, Re-Align, Re-Connect implies, she enjoy using somatic and creative movements from different modalities into the yoga practice. Through the years of practice she has personally experienced the benefit of yoga on a 1) physical level where she experienced improvement in flexibility, muscle tone and strengthening, endurance and balance - and prevented some falls. 2) On energetic level, coping better with stress by cultivating sense of ease in active and passive poses. She attest to the importance of Restorative Yoga for mental and energetic vitality. 3) On psychological level, she experienced an increase in concentration level, resilience and clarity of mind in dealing with everyday situations. This is due to cultivating mindfulness by shifting awareness to the sensations, thoughts, and emotions that accompany a given yoga pose during the practice.
